As the second largest smartphone in this round-up, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a beast. Its 5.7-inch, 2,560 x 1,400 screen is a beauty – it’s both wonderfully sharp and vibrant. The Note comes with a much-improved S-Pen stylus, which offers the most accurate and enjoyable stylus experience you’ll find on a phone.

Despite its size, this is actually one of the easiest big phones to handle. The stylus is obviously a big help in this respect, but there’s also a one-handed operation mode and the screen itself is relatively narrow. It’s also one of the best-looking Samsung phones on the market, despite the plastic rear.

Camera quality is another high, and the Note’s 16-megapixel main sensor is complemented with OIS, to improve low-light shooting. Battery life is excellent too, despite the size and quality of the screen, so you’ll be able to go for a couple of days between charges. The Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM inside ensure it’s great for playing games on.
